MOHI · Museum of Greek Oral History

The brief

MOHI, the Digital Museum of Greek Oral History, brings the regional dialects of Greek to the classroom. Teachers and students explore recordings and material on dialects such as Griko and Pontic, and compare them with Standard Modern Greek. The project runs at the University of Crete.

What we built

• A gallery homepage where each dialect is an exhibit with its own cover
• A side menu in the museum’s colours: about, dialects, activities, theory, links
• Pages that hold text, audio and images without crowding the reader
• Greek and English versions

Where it stands

The museum is live and used in schools.
