Treat the e-shop and invoicing setup as two connected projects with different owners. The shop collects the order and payment information; the business’s invoicing system creates and transmits the appropriate documents. Your accountant should define the tax treatment and the software provider should confirm what the integration sends.
Check the current AADE schedule
As of 20 October 2026, the AADE mandatory e-invoicing page lists the dates 2 November 2026 and 1 January 2027 and describes digital issuance through a provider or AADE’s timologio and myDATAapp. The page links to the applicable decisions and the channel declaration. Do not infer your phase from the date alone: confirm your category and obligations against the latest decision with your accountant.
Map the order to the invoice
Write down which events create a document: order placed, payment captured, deposit collected, cancellation, refund or cash-on-delivery settlement. Identify how the shop passes customer, product, VAT, shipping and payment data, and who checks failed or duplicate transmissions. Test real cases in a sandbox or with the accountant before going live.
JupiWeb’s €890 e-shop starting scope includes checkout options and order management; accounting software and tax rules need their own confirmed scope. Keep the provider names, support contacts and failure procedure in the handover notes. Recheck AADE’s linked decisions before changing the workflow, because dates and instructions can change.
